Most sessions are between 1-2 hrs long although sometimes newborn sessions can be a bit longer if baby is unsettled. I always try to create a relaxed, comfortable space where you don't feel rushed so there is no strict time limit.
Yes! I offer fine art prints in a variety of sizes. These are available to purchase through your online gallery.
I live in Whangaparāoa, North Auckland, surrounded by the beautiful beaches of the Hibiscus Coast with my hubby, Matt, and children, August, Dakota, & Alaska.
I love to travel all over the country! If you're out of Auckland, try and get a friend to book a session too and you can split the costs!
It depends on the package - most standard packages include 40+ images although my maternity package only has 15+
- Earthy tones always look great - colours you’d find out in nature like clay, beige, tan, grey, light grey, forest green, cream & soft muted colours like PASTELS (love me some soft pastel colours if you're into that). It's best to avoid T-shirts/clothing with logos or stripes... they can be really distracting in images and date quickly.
- Patterns like you see in a lot of dresses are absolutely fine but again, I recommend that only one person wears patterned clothing if possible.
- Denim is absolutely fine - vintage blue is a great option but I'd avoid dark blue when possible. Black denim is also fine but it's important to note that black will stand out in an image when others are wearing lighter tones.
- It's always good to have a couple of options on standby and/or feel free to send through any images of potential outfits if you want feedback!
- If you're wanting something a little more out there (like block colours etc) because HEY! that's your style then please do let me know and we can work together to make sure it is a winning combo.
I always try to have your images ready as quickly as possible and this is usually within 2-3 weeks of the shoot taking place. However, during summer when I'm also busy with weddings, this can be a little longer - up to 6 weeks. If you need the images by a particular date, please mention this when enquiring and I'll do my best to accommodate!
If you need to reschedule due to illness or other factors, I can usually transfer your deposit to a new date but I appreciate as much notice as possible. Mini shoots can't be rescheduled and the deposit is non-refundable unless I can find someone else to take your spot.
If the weather forecast is no good for your outdoor session, we'll look at rescheduling to another date. For most indoor sessions, we can still go ahead unless it's looking really bad, which can make it too dark to achieve the beautiful natural light images I specialise in.
There are two common options - for those peaceful, snuggly newborn photos, it's usually best to try and capture them during the first 7-10 days while baby is still nice and sleepy. In this case I recommend getting in touch during your pregnancy to pencil in a session based on your due date. Obviously, this can change and we will reschedule if we need to.
If you'd prefer to get a bit more personality from baby (eg smiles, eyes wide open) then I recommend waiting until baby is 8-10 weeks old. You're still welcome to book this in before baby arrives or can wait until after the birth to check availability.
I recommend booking in your maternity shoot for when you are 32-36 weeks along. This way we can emphasise your beautiful bump as much as possible without (hopefully!) being too late.
I sure do! If you'd like to book in more than one type of session (eg maternity + newborn), you'll receive 10% off the lowest-priced package. All sessions need to be booked at the same time for this to apply.
I'm glad you asked! You can make an enquiry below and I'll be in touch asap!
